PLANNING AN EVENT OR PROGRAM?

The JCC in Sherman is available for use by individuals, not for profit organizations, and town organizations.  JCC members receive special rental rates. Please contact us to receive information, guidelines, and dates of availability. You do NOT need to be a JCCS member to rent our venue. Tables and chairs are included in use of the facility. A great venue for birthday parties, weddings, funeral receptions, and celebrations of all kinds!

Doors to the left open out to our patio area. The auditorium also connect to the library for even more space!

Our beautiful patio was just recently updated in 2019 and is the perfect area to add to your event during the warmer months! Access this area through the garden room or through the auditorium.

2024 FEES & RULES FOR USE OF THE JCC IN SHERMAN FACILITY

$100 deposit required to book your date – Renters will need to set up/break down the tables and chairs and leave the facility in overall same / clean condition.

(JCCS Members receive $50 discount on rental fees – no additional discounts apply to nonprofit rental rates)

General Rentals 

Total use of entire facility

Use of entire facility including kitchen. Rental $400 + Cleaning Fee $100 ………………………………..…………………….….….…..$500

Local Government  & Nonprofit 501 (c) Corp

(e.g. Fire Dept. Senior Center, Library, Naromi, FISH, Sherman Players, Scouts, SPTO, athletic groups)

Use of entire facility including kitchen. Rental $300 + Cleaning Fee $100 ……………………………………………………….…………$400

  1. Signed agreements and payment in full must be completed prior to using the facility.

  2. Maximum table set up accommodates up to 79 people

  3. JCCS sound system, projector/DVD player is not included with rental. If you should require audio/visual/technical support, you must detail all needs in advance. Fee for this service varies depending on your needs (approx $100-200).

  4. Trash must be placed in the outdoor containers provided, floors swept and furniture returned to its original location.

  5. Renters must supply a copy of their Homeowner’s or Liability insurance listing the JCCS as Additional Insured. 

  6. There are to be no attachments to the walls, ceiling, or other parts of the building.

  7. The JCCS will be responsible for opening & closing prior to, and after use of the building unless other plans are made.

  8. No cooking will be permitted outside of the kitchen without prior approval.

  9. Renters must abide by all CT and CDC guidelines in regards to the covid pandemic (if/when applicable).  

  10. There will be an additional $50 fee if you have the JCCS set up your event to your specifications. If you choose a different setup & do it yourself, you must return all furniture to its original location. Thank you.
