This program will be held on Zoom.

This class will be a discourse on "Critical Moments in Jewish History" from Biblical times through present trends in Judaism. Each class with be introduced with an overview of the subject, to be followed by class discussion, for a total of one hour. Each session will be an isolated unit so people can attend as they are available.

Rabbi Ari Rosenberg grew up in Waterford, Connecticut, where his father was the rabbi of Temple Emanu-El and his mother was principal of the Solomon Schechter Academy. He has lived in CT, CA, OH, MA, NJ, in Jerusalem and on Kibbutz Yotvatah. He received a BA in English from Rutgers University and he was ordained by Hebrew Union College in 2008. He served Temple Sholom in New Milford from 2015 to 2020, increasing membership 45% and raising the revenue to renovate the synagogue. Now, Rabbi Ari is Executive Director of the Association of Religious Communities ("ARC") where he promotes interfaith cooperation to prevent poverty, homelessness and domestic violence throughout the greater Danbury area. He serves on the Affordable Housing Planning Committee for the City of Danbury and on the Sustainability Workgroup of the Reaching Home Campaign of the Partnership for Strong Communities, while also serving as Vice President of New Milford Refugee Resettlement. Rabbi Ari is happily married to Aryn Nargiso Storrs Rosenberg, and they enjoy their blended family of four children, a dog, a cat, a snake, and 5 chickens.
