Topic : Elephants Matter!

Cynthia has been a professional photographer since 2005. Her work has included weddings, events, and portraiture but is now primarily landscape, cityscapes, and wildlife. Her two safaris in Africa to document the elephants and their plight and to raise money and awareness to save them have been her most fulfilling work. She is also committed to sharing what captures her eye around the country wherever her travels take her.

There will be a Power Point Presentation & discussion about the current state of the poaching crisis in Africa, and the other critical situations that are endangering the elephants world wide. Cindy will also present the situation of the human-animal conflict which has always existed, but has been severely exacerbated by the prolonged drought in Africa.

She will also touch on the topics of zoos and circuses.

There will be photographs available for purchase from Cindy's visits to Africa... All of the proceeds going to several organizations in Kenya, the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust and the Reteti Sanctuary!

A little bit about Cynthia:

Developing relationships and engaging in sales and/or fundraising has been the essence and passion of my entire career...whether saving the Elephants, selling Public and Commercial Radio time, my photography, or the long list of organizations for whom I volunteered.
I have started my own organization to raise awareness, concern, and money to help save the elephants. and to put an end to the Illegal Ivory trade, "What bout the Elephants?" I have worked over 25 years in Radio, in sales and sales management, owned and operated two photography companies, and have been a volunteer for non-profit organizations since I was a Freshman in High School!
My goal is to continue in the non-profit sector and channel my energies and passion to raising awareness and funds for the most deserving of causes.
