Please join us on Sunday March 3rd at 1:00pm for our Sunday Speaker Series featuring Ted Hollander : Step Forward America
Ted Hollander, a resident of Sherman, advocates, through his NGO Step Forward America, a universal program that includes middle and high school education focusing heavily on civics, media literacy, climate change and other lessons designed to foster good citizenship---followed by one or two years of civilian or military national service. The program is covered in detail in his latest book Bachelors of Citizenship.
He is a graduate of Harvard University, served in the US Marine Corps, and is Chairman of Presray Corp., a manufacturer of barriers for flood protection and biocontainment. He is a past Chairman of the New Milford Hospital and has served on and chaired or presided over various other community organizations.
Mr. Hollander speaks to Rotary Clubs and other social organizations, has a limited social media presence, and publishes a monthly newsletter. Like many of us, he sees education as the key to solving our national social and political problems, and he promotes national service as the way to give back something in return for the rights and privileges afforded us as Americans.
