Join us on Sunday January 28th for a New Year : New You event at the JCC in Sherman!
Treat yourself to an immersive mind-body wellness experience at the JCC in Sherman. Participants will relax, connect, and rejuvenate to unlock their inner potential, power, creativity, and balance. The retreat will include an opening connection circle, a mindful meditative art process, a community acupuncture or tuning fork session, sound bath and closing circle.
Participants should wear comfortable clothes, bring their own yoga mat, pillow and blanket. Art supplies, water and healthy snacks will be provided.

Amber Vlangas, MAT is an artist, certified Meditation Specialist, Mindful and Meditative Art Teacher, Restorative Circle-keeper, and Sound Healer. She has always had a heart for holding space and helping others. Her work is grounded in the truth that every person has the ability to access their power, potential, and creativity when given the safety and encouragement they need to do so. She invites people into accessible and mindful art activities, guided meditation, music making, and sound journeying to help them relax, renew, and open pathways to enhanced mind-body connection, imagination, self-awareness and overall balance. Amber holds certifications accredited by the International Mindfulness and Meditation Alliance, The Mindful Art Alliance, The Meditation Organization and the Complementary Medical Association.
Melanie Fernandi, L.Ac is a licensed acupuncturist and sound healer. She has dedicated herself as a practitioner to bring healing and balance to her clients utilizing many different modalities. She graduated from Bastyr University with a Master of Science Degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She is also skilled in massage, Reiki, and does some cranio-sacral therapy work. Her additional training includes years of Intuitive Healing, Chinese Face Reading and Faster EFT.
