About Paul:
"My journey with yoga began in 1972 at university where I joined the university yoga club. I also began at this time the practice of Transcendental Meditation TM as taught by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. I have continued yoga and TM to this day, finding them both beneficial and complimentary.
Over the years as I have practiced under the guidance of a number of wonderful teachers, as well as, continued my private practice.
My career in the Earth Sciences has kept me busy my entire adult life, and while I always had the notion to begin teaching yoga, I never seemed to be able to put away the time to do so. Finally, in 2020 I found the time and obtained my 200 hours yoga teaching certification under the excellent guidance of Lara ward, a longtime yoga teacher, well known and respected in the region.
The practice of yoga provides an opportunity for all to improve their physical and mental well-being. It is something you can do all your life or start at anytime in your life. Our yoga practice at the JCC in Sherman will be a group meeting, with warm-up exercises, a comfortable series of yoga postures or asanas, yoga breathing or pranayama, and relaxation /meditation."
Following the completion of the practice, there will be some time to chit-chat and socialize. Please bring your own mat / blanket and water bottle.
